Last night was a busy one with 2 gigs to photograph in Nottingham, The first was Elbows at The Motorpoint Arena. Sadly the PR Company only allowed the snappers to stay for the first 2 songs before marching us all out the back door, so no gig review on this one - I cant write a review for a gig that I was not alowed to see in full. Its a shame that the Arena was not as full as usual because the first 2 songs were great.
Next up following a brisk walk up the hill to The Bodega were 2 acts that were much more up my street with 2 incredible Blues Rock bands from the USA. I missed the opening support act "The Zac Schulze Gang" but I was lucky enough to see Zak join the headliners for a couple of songs and boy can he play. Proper good old school blues rock n roll.
I have been listening to the headline act (Eddie 9V) for a few months now so was looking forward to seeing him perform live.
Eddie 9V certainly didn't disappoint and to see an artist of this quality in such a small venue was superb. It was my first time photographing at the Bodega. Eddie 9V is a class Blues Rock singer. His 2021 Album"Little Black Flies" has now been added to by small but growing vinyl collection. Something really nice about putting a new vinyl onto a turntable and cranking the volume up.
If you like Blues Rock then check both these bands out of Apple Music / Spotify - or even better help up and coming bands by buying their records and go to see them live - you will not regret it.
