I spent Saturday at the HRH Blues Festival at the O2 Academy in the City of Leicester UK, The weekend festival saw some superb Blues bands from far and wide.
Topping the bill on Saturday was the highly anticipated performance from Lyytinen and her band “Erja Lyytinen” from Finland. They exceeded all expectation with an exciting, polished performance which immediatly had the enthusiastic crowd going wild.
Lyytinen is well renowned for her immense skill as a guitarist and it’s easy to see why she has been voted as best guitarist of the Year in the European Blues adds 2017.
Her talent as a musician is mesmerising and her vocals are equally superb. It’s hard to pick a standout song because frankly, the whole set was simply superb from start to finish.
