Collateral and FM at The Resue Rooms in Nottingham - Another night of superb British Rock'n'Roll at its best.
Last night I was back to The Rescue Rooms in Nottingham, this time to cover the performances from FM and my personal favourite UK band the brilliant Collateral.
Angelo Tristan and his band Collateral opened the evenings entertainment in style as I expected. I first photographed the band at last years Stondead festival and Ive followed them since then.
Their music is not disimilar to a young Bon Jovi with great rolling lyrics, superb guitar licks and as for frontman Angelo Tristan, well he is the epitamy of a rock star in my mind. Flamboyant, good looking and a superb performer who absolutely comands the stage. His energy is infectious and you cant help but smile during the bands performance. The band only had 30 minutes but covered some of their best known songs.
Set List: Glass Sky, Big Shot, No Place For Love, On The Long Road, Merry Go Round and Midnight Queen.
The band are about to release their new album 'Shouldve Known Better' at their launch party in the Underworld, Camden on 26 May 2024. Im pleased to have been given the opportunity to be there with my camera.
FM
Headliners FM are not a band that I have seen before, but they have a strong following and a great reputation. The band have been about since the mid 80s and have toured with the likes of Foreigner, Tina Turner and Gary Moore.
Their performance was polished and well received by the fans at the Nottingham Rescue Rooms. This venue is brilliant and allows a very intimate experience in terms with band / fan interaction. I enjoyed the bands set and would certainly make the effort to see them again.
The bands set included Digging up the dirt, Tough, Killed, Someday, Heartache, Everytime, Blue, Dream, Synch, Say, Closer, Does It, That Girl, Bad Luck, Hotwired and Car.
